How CASA Money works

CASA’s mission is to reduce stress about money. Bills come from all over the place — on dates that we usually can’t control. Keeping track of what needs to be paid when is exhausting! Other personal finance apps require a whole lot of set up – and still feel like they were made for accountants. CASA re-organises everything into a more human way of thinking. It’s super simple and there’s pretty much zero set up. All you need to do is connect your bank accounts and get ready to feel super organised!

CASA helps you see

  • All your recurring expenses in one place
  • What costs are coming up before you next get paid
  • How much you can safely spend and still cover your expenses

How we use bank feeds

To use CASA, you will need to authorise bank feeds through an open banking connection service called Akahu. It is safe and secure, and has been used for many years by apps like Xero, MYOB, PocketSmith and Sharesies. You can choose which bank accounts to connect, and disconnect them instantly at any time. Learn more about Akahu.

CASA does not use the payments function of open banking yet, so we will not be making payments or moving any money in your bank accounts — just reading the transactions to predict your upcoming expenses. Learn more about open banking.
